In collegiate baseball, some players may choose to transfer because of the NIL deals offered by schools and programs. This has greatly affected coaches’ ability to build stable, consistent teams.

Minnesota's Coach Sounds Off On NIL Funding Disparity In College Baseball
What it is: An article from NIL Daily through Sports Illustrated that explains the success of non-revenue teams vs. revenue teams with the help of the NIL portal.
Why we like it: Non-revenue teams have difficulty implementing a NIL payroll to compensate athletes in comparison to revenue teams. Now, players are able to be compensated through scholarships and through NIL contracts, leaving no limit for compensation.

Here's How NIL Is Working In College Sports
What it is: An article from ESPN that explains NIL and how players truly benefit from signing.
Why we like it: There are some big perks when players sign NIL deals. Top athletes have signed with Nike, Adidas, Under Armour- and even Amazon. The best part? Athletes feel like it’s a personal relationship, as they get to share their stories with these brands.
Retiring Coach Blasts Current State Of NIL
What it is: Former Baseball Coach for Costal Carolina University, Gary Gilmore, explains why he dislikes the NIL so much.
Why we like it: Gilmore says it’s not a level playing field for athletes. All teams can spend as much money as they want to build their teams to the intensity they want- which isn’t fair. He thinks there has to be a better way rather than the system that has taken over.
How NIL, Transfer Portal Affects College Baseball
What it is: An article from The Athletic that interviews eleven college coaches from all different conferences on their opinions about the NIL portal.
Why we like it: Most coaches aren’t in favor of it. Many said that it’s entirely changed the landscape- and even become a game of who can raise the most money and give it away. In short, it’s changing the intentions of athletes- and coaches.
