Meet Coach RAC: Five Questions with Youth Inc.'s Baseball Ambassador

Meet Coach RAC — a former Washington Nationals signee turned Savannah Bananas fan favorite who’s bringing serious energy to baseball, both on the field and online. After a standout college career and a viral MLB signing moment, he’s grown an online community of over 1.5 million fans across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. With a mix of elite baseball knowledge and off-the-wall entertainment, Coach RAC is on a mission to make baseball fun again—whether he’s mashing homers or mentoring the next generation of players.
We asked him five questions about his experience with youth sports, life lessons, and more.
1. What’s your favorite youth sports memory?
Taking batting practice with my dad at Reid Park near my house. Nothing specific, but those times together are my favorite memories.
2. Who has been the most influential person or coach in your life?
My dad. He was always available to throw me batting practice and was always positive.
3. What’s one lesson you’ve learned through your sport that has shaped your life?
I've learned not to focus too much on the future, but to enjoy the present. Instead of looking ahead to high school, college, or pro ball, I've learned to be present where I am. Whatever level you are at, enjoy where you are, be thankful you get to play, and be present.
4. What advice would you give to your 10-year-old self?
Have fun! I wouldn't want to change anything about my career—it played out how it was supposed to. I'd tell myself to focus more on the person you are becoming, rather than the player you are becoming.
5. What is a motto or belief that you live by?
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
