This Week's Inspiration:
What It Is: Every once in a while, you come across a new idea that just makes sense.
I recently read an article on Today.com depicting a new ritual started at Legion Collegiate Academy in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Seniors on the baseball team at one South Carolina high school got a touching send-off that they and their parents will never forget.
For their final at-bat on Senior Night, their dads pitched to them, the announcer read a letter written by their parents as they rounded the bases, and their moms waited at home base for a big hug.
Why It Inspires Me: I love this concept because it (1) involves Mom, Dad and child (2) creates not only a memory, but a memory that can be saved on video and revisited from time-to-time and (3) it is short & concise!
In short- it's a perfect way to celebrate Senior Night. Will more schools try this?

One high school baseball team started a beautiful goodbye tradition for seniors
Here’s a powerful excerpt:
Jackson Gordon, 17, was one of those senior boys. His dad, Scott Gordon, threw the pitch.
"This day got here way quicker than I ever thought possible," the announcer read from his parents' letter while he jogged around the bases. "Although I'm sad to see this chapter come to an end, I'm even more excited to watch you take on the world in a different way. ... It was never about where you ended up — it was about who you became getting to this point."
