Letter from the Editor: Welcome to Youth.inc, a Comprehensive Platform Dedicated to Youth Sports

Youth sports have played an integral role in my life, first as a young athlete and then as a parent and coach. I love sports and I especially love youth sports. If I drive by a high school or youth sporting event I almost always stop and watch. There has been a lot said and written about the state of youth sports today, but at its core youth sports is still pure and there is so much we can all learn from the games that our kids play.
Inspiration, information and entertainment are the three guiding pillars you will find on our new platform, Youth.inc. All of our content will fit into one of those buckets and we will produce and aggregate videos, blog posts, listicles and podcasts in an organized place so you don’t have to go searching all over the interwebs for it.
Youth.inc was founded by former NFL player and Emmy Award-winning broadcaster Greg Olsen, who didn’t recognize the youth sports landscape when he retired from the League and started coaching his young kids. If someone like Greg Olsen, the son of a successful high school football coach in New Jersey, had a hard time navigating youth sports, imagine the confusion of the average parent.
We built Youth.inc to not only inspire, inform and entertain, but also to help cut through the clutter. We have a team of experts in each sport – Miami Dolphins fullback Alex Ingold in football, former Oklahoma softball star Lauren Chamberlain, Olympian Trey Hardee (track & field), Savannah Bananas outfielder Coach RAC (baseball), former Division I field hockey coach Colleen Fink and many more; to see our full roster, go here – as well as experts on topics like recruiting, mental health and training and nutrition.
Youth.inc is a multi-channel platform. Our website will be updated daily along with our social channels. You can also find our content curated in our weekly newsletter – sign up here – and on our YouTube channel (subscribe here).
We’ll have sport-specific content as well as information that applies to just about any sport. That content is organized in our topics section; training and nutrition, mental fitness, navigating the landscape and more. We also have dedicated sections to girls’ sports and life skills.
